Cardi B Deactivates her Instagram Hours after Grammy Win

Rapper, Cardi B, is never hesitant to speak what’s on her mind in videos posted to her Instagram account, but when she needs to take a step back, she does just that. Just shortly after winning a Grammy for Best Rap Album for “Invasion of Privacy” and going on a rant to defend her win, her Instagram was deleted. Fans trolled the artist as they thought that she didn’t deserve to win. Other artists nominated included Travis Scott, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, and the late Mac Miller.

In the rant video that has since been deleted, Cardi B said “I worked hard for my motherf—g album.” She talked about her album’s huge success, and also said that she was sharing her Grammy with Mac Miller after seeing that his family was rooting for her if Miller didn’t. Cardi said, “They wanted me to win, so I’m sharing this Grammy with you. Rest in peace.”

More drama emerged with rapper Nicki Minaj after an inappropriate tweet from BET mentioned Minaj, shading her in light of Cardi’s win. Minaj later released a statement saying that she along with Young Money, which includes Lil Wayne and other artists, would no longer be appearing at a BET sponsored summer concert, where she was scheduled to headline alongside Cardi.
