As you may know, most small businesses are having to close down all services due to COVID-19 pandemic, and record stores have been forced to find a new way to operate their business. A Nashville retailer, Grimey’s New & Preloved Music, for more than two weeks, has had to send employees home after the city declared everyone to stay-at-home.

Taylor Swift may be in the pop industry, but her heart and residency will always remain with Nashville. During this pandemic, Swift is doing her part and stepping up to help the Music City institution. Since all of Grimey’s employees have been temporarily laid off, Swift has given money to each employee along with THREE MONTHS OF HEALTHCARE!

According to Rolling Stone, Grimmy’s co-owner, Doyle Davis says, “We were very surprised, and I would have to say amazed that Taylor Swift reached out to us through her publicist to offer some relief during the COVID pandemic,” Davis says. “I didn’t even know we were on her radar, but she really stepped up to help after the recent tornadoes that struck Nashville and middle Tennessee, and now, she’s trying to help a beloved small business in her city.”

Record stores are not the only thing Swift has helped during the coronavirus pandemic. Swift donated $3,000 to TWENTY of her fans who reached out for financial help. Adam Bomb, Q997 Afternoon Radio Jock, interviewed Holly Turner, one of the girls Swift gave money to, and we have attached the video below for you to see.

Swift has also donated to the World Health Organization and Feeding America and has encouraged her fans also to support these organizations and respect the CDC guidelines.  (Refer to the Instagram post below.)
