Gracie Abrams’ next chapter began in the same room where one of her biggest recent songs took shape.
Producer Aaron Dessner shared that Abrams started work on her upcoming album, Daughter From Hell, on the same day she recorded That’s So True at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The session became more than a single-song moment. It opened the door to a larger body of work that continued developing through their collaboration.
Dessner said several songs from the new album grew out of that creative stretch, describing the project as a meaningful step forward for Abrams. The two have worked closely in recent years, with Dessner helping shape the intimate, emotional sound that has become central to her music.
Daughter From Hell is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026. Its first single, Hit the Wall, is set to arrive on May 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
